Sperm agglutination

Motile sperm sticking to one another, for example by their heads or tails. It is a particular observation on a semen report.

Also searched as: sperm sticking together

Why you might see this term

A laboratory distinguishes it from other kinds of clumping, such as sperm adhering to debris. Further interpretation may depend on the amount and pattern.

What to keep in mind

Agglutination alone does not establish the presence of antisperm antibodies or identify a treatment.
