The words, without the guesswork

Fertility language.
Made understandable.

From “What does AMH mean?” to “What is tubal patency?” — find clear explanations of the words on your report, in your appointment or in a TTC conversation.

Start with the question you have.

You might be planning ahead, actively trying, preserving fertility or understanding an unexpected result. You do not need to wait for a crisis to ask what something means. This reference covers common terms; inclusion does not mean a test is needed or included in a ProFertility kit.

How we put this reference together

Prepared by ProFertility using the professional and public-health sources linked on each entry. Explanations separate a test’s purpose from its limits. We do not use this glossary to diagnose conditions, assign fertility scores or predict a personal chance of pregnancy. Source links and wording were checked on 23 October 2026. This is educational information; individual results need appropriate interpretation.
