Semen-sample abstinence planner

Check whether a planned semen sample falls within the 2–5-day abstinence interval used in ProFertility kit instructions. This checks timing only; it does not book a collection.

An educational planning aid, not a diagnosis or treatment recommendation.

Your dates, a clearer picture

Use your device’s local time zone. These entries do not book or confirm a sample return.

Your entries are calculated in this page and are not submitted to ProFertility or saved to your patient record by this tool. Clear the form when using a shared device. These tools provide educational estimates, not medical advice.

How this is calculated

The interval is calculated as elapsed hours between the two date-and-time entries, divided by 24. A 2–5-day interval is 48–120 hours. Date and time use your device’s local time zone, including daylight-saving changes.

Before you rely on the result

Follow the instructions for your own laboratory if they differ. Before producing a ProFertility mail-in semen sample, contact the team at least 48 working hours ahead and wait for return confirmation. This calculator does not check public holidays, laboratory availability, shipping cut-offs or sample suitability.
